Happy Birthday Chiara!

A year ago today, Chiara was born. It has been so fun to watch her grow and change over the year.
Growing up comes with all kinds of surprises!
We are so thankful for a healthy, wonderful grand daughter! Happy Birthday, Sweetie! Your Oma and Opa love you very much!

We are enjoying fantastic spring weather this week. The countryside has taken on a new look as it comes to life. When I walked through town today, I happened upon this water fountain that is decorated for this weekend's Easter celebration!

Our yard really came to life during the week we were gone...but the house is SO quiet after a week with four wonderful children! We miss you Ellie, Jordon, Matthew and Katie!!

We saved one of the best outings for our last day together. ICE CREAM!!!
The kids are excited it is only one more sleep until Mom and Dad come home...we are not looking forward to going home to a quiet house. Katie very sadly told me she would miss us! Glad we are not that far away.




To all you folk out there who miss the Ice Cafe...hope you enjoy these photos. It still has the best ice cream and better prices than other places!

Today we took a train trip to Freiburg. Another wonderful day with the kids!


We saw several flowering trees like this. Spring is a little further ahead in Freiburg.
Jordon, Ellie, Matthew and Jesse climbed the tower in this church...209 steps to the top which is a look out area quite a ways above the clock.
