A quiet moment with Opa.
Oma enjoying Chiara early in the AM when everyone else is still sleeping.
Sharla, enjoying Chiara in the glider/rocker Ben's parents, Shawna, Jesse and I gave them for Christmas.
Chiara had her two week check-up today. She has gained about a pound and has grown a little over 2 inches. Some of her sleepers are already too small!

It's a girl!
Small Group
Every two weeks we meet together with this group for a Bible reflection and then we share and pray together. We enjoy this group so much! The 'tall' guy is none other than the new 'Grandpa'(with a very happy Grandma, of course!) Yes, today we got the wonderful news that our little grand daughter has arrived and are assured that pictures will be coming. She is Chiara Nicole Wilcox, born at 12:00 midnight(Seattle time) on April 14, weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz. She is a little earlier than expected but hey! we're fine with that! Mom, baby and Dad, are doing fine! More baby news to follow.

I had to wait while the car was being worked on today so I went for a walk and took some pictures. This house has been around a while!
Interesting name for a place to eat.
I love this front yard!
This is a new walking bridge over the Rhine River. It joins Germany and France.
I stood in basically one spot on the bridge and was able to get pictures of France, Germany and Switzerland just buy turning around. (Not sure if the birds are Swiss, French or German. Ha!) Anyway, this is France.
A barge on the Rhine with France in the background.
These are a couple of shots of Germany.
And this is Switzerland. The boats in the foreground are going through customs.

On Friday of this past week some little boys were playing on our street. They started throwing rocks and one accidentally hit and broke the headlight on our car. We were proud of these kids because they went and told someone right away.
A couple days later, the 'guilty' little boy came by with his parents. He apologized and also brought this picture for us, showing what he was going to have to do to help pay the bill. This is a picture of him helping his Dad gather wood in the forest.

Fun Day with the Kids!
Hannah loves to be outside. Today she enjoyed picking these little flowers and playing with rocks!
She knew I was taking pictures but was camera shy. Ha!
Matthew and Katie enjoying an ice cream treat!
Matthew takes eating ice cream pretty seriously.
Katie's pretty smile!
I should keep a log of the fun things kids say. Today,(with a sly grin) Matthew said, "you're getting old" after I could not make the rope merry-go-round go fast enough for his liking! I bopped him one!
