In the mountains...

Lots of people to read books or...
play games.
Showing off her new slippers or as she calls them 'shooshs'.

Anything to do with music is fun!

Christmas Day

Sunrise(at -30C) on our way to Edmonton on Christmas Day.
We drove in heavy fog for quite a ways and then it cleared off and was an absolute winter wonderland.

Sunset at the airport.

Dominoes! We played 'Dutch Blitz' before this...both games were great fun!

On the farm

Moving grain before the new year.
Memories of days past...this is where I grew up. No one has lived here for quite a few years.

Our visit in Saskatchewan so far...

Santa came to the home where my Mom lives and we joined them for the Christmas party on Sunday night!
Mom getting her gift from Santa! She leaned over to me after this picture and said (kind of disgruntled), 'I don't believe in him!' She was a good sport about it anyway!
Flying over the Rockies into Edmonton! It was beautiful! (The picture above(on the blog header) is of my Mom's little birdhouse outside her kitchen window. I thought it looked kind of cozy nestled on the branch!
At the church on Sunday.

Beautiful day on the prairies.
Nothing like the wide open space where you can see for miles.

A visit to Seattle!

Away in a manger...kind of!
We are enjoying a wonderful visit in Seattle with Chiara and her Mommy and Daddy. It is so fun to see how much this little family loves each other. Chiara is trying lots of new words, loves music and dancing, wearing hats and trying on shoes(all sizes!)and so much more.

A favorite place to play is on this cedar chest by the window. She loves her reflection in the window!

Grandpa Wilcox made her this cradle. As you can see she loves it and fits in it just right. We know that soon it will be home to her dolls and stuffed animals but right now it is a good place to sit and read a book or play!

In her own little world.

Chiara loves helping in the kitchen. Her 5 year old cousin taught her that if you are going to help in the kitchen you need to look the part so you must add a touch of flour to your nose before you get started.
