Jesse and I celebrated our anniversary this week by taking a trip to Mainau(the Flower Island) on Bodensee. God blessed us with a beautiful day filled with lots of good memories which we will cherish for years to come.
There are a lots of roses on the island (I would say that is probably the main flower) but of course, it is too early for them. However, we enjoyed lots of other spring flowers and sites.
Like I said above, it was a beautiful day. Bright sunny days do not make for such great photos but hopefully you will get the idea. This was the entrance to the park all done in pansies.
This peacock was also done in pansies. It was so big! Hard to get a good photo.
These trees look so weird during the winter months, but when they leaf out they are beautiful. The leaves are huge(10" diameter) and kind of look like a Maple leaf.

Miniature train display where several kinds of trains did all sorts of interesting routes.
A wonderful playground with all kinds of different and interesting things for the kids to do.
A great part of the day was taking a cruse on this ship. We did the trip late afternoon. It was so relaxing and fun.
View across the lake with the Swiss Alps in the background.
View of the shoreline from the lake.
Sailing school.
Coffee and cake while cruising along.
A flower garden shaped like the lake with all the ports in designated spots.
Ready to head home after our special day!
