New carpet, paint and a new look!

It was a pretty exciting day for us when our landlord finally consented to let us get new carpet for our bedrooms. The old carpet was VERY old and should have been replaced a long time ago. Anyway, it was a lot of work to get ready for this. Everything had to be moved out of the rooms in prep for the new floor. We also decided to paint both rooms while everything was out. Sure goes fast that way. Jesse is shown here taking apart one of the 3 free-standing closets. We decided we did not want this closet back in the room so it found another home.
A wonderful friend, Travis, came along to spend a few days with us and pitched right in to help. (I am bummed that this is the only picture I have of him) A big thank you to our good friend Jen who came the afternoon we painted our bedroom. We got that task done in no time at all! Thanks, Jen!

The new bedroom without the closet in the way. This room is so nice now with new paint and carpet. I am slowly sorting through everything and getting it all back together. I still need to get a few things on the walls.
