On Thursday evening we took the team along with the BFA guys and their wives for dinner at a restaurant at the base of the Hochblauen. There is lots of snow up there and it looked wonderful with the sun shining on it.
Saying our goodbyes to a wonderful team.
Jesse took the team to the airport at around 4:15 this morning. As I write this they should be in flight on their way back to Canada.
During the two weeks they were here, they accomplished so much as far as the project goes but they also left behind a legacy that will go on for years to come. The students will walk the halls and use the rooms that the team have worked so hard on. These students too will come and go and we are so very often pleasantly surprised at where they end up. Some may come back and be resident assistants or teachers right here, others will go on to be missionaries, pastors, government leaders, lawyers, and the list goes on!
We want to thank David, George, Jason, Wes, Wendell, Shawn and Ray for taking time to come and invest a part of their lives in this ministry. (Laural, we missed you so much and trust that you will consider coming in the future.) We also want to thank you, their church, for sending them! You all have played an important part in this adventure! Someday, in eternity, we will all get to see the big picture...I know we will all be amazed! Thank you again for blessing us here and we wish God's special blessing on you as well.
I hope you have enjoyed being able to follow along on the blog as much as I have enjoyed doing it. I have never done this before with a team but felt it would be a way that the church family as well as the families of these guys could stay in touch.
We invite you to continue to follow our blog so you can stay connected with us and also the work here. I will try to post pictures of the project every now and then.
